You don't necessarily have to be physically weaker than someone to be a victim of their abuse either

Looking at both it is unlikely that he was in any danger and that is the innate conclusion that most came too in that situation.

If she had decked him and started to boot his unconscious head then intervention would have been swift

It's never right for anyone to put their hands on anyone else, except in self defence. It's quiet sad really that people see attacks on men by women as funny. My thinking would be, if she's not afraid of slapping him around in public, wtf goes on in private?

You're very contrary today Trumpet. Don't make me come up there and sort you out.

It's not a good example really, she looks like she'a accusing him of something and overreacting, he looks like he's trying to squirm out of the shiz... I think thats why people are laughing.

They would...

Domestic Abuse
Domestic Abuse is perpetrated by a partner or ex-partner and may include physical, mental and/or sexual violence. It is characterised by a pattern of coercive control escalating in frequency and severity over time.

Prevelance figures suggest between one in three and one in five women experiences some form of domestic abuse in the course of their lifetime.

Source: Recommendation (2002) 5 of the Committee of Ministers to member states on the prevention of violence against women, adopted 30 April 2002. Council of Europe.

There were 51,926 incidents of domestic abuse in Scotland recorded by the police in 2009-10. Women are far more likely to be victims than men, with incidents involving a female victim and a male perpetrator representing 82% of reported incidents. Many women never report the abuse to police. This is partly because the abuse may not be physical and may not constitute a 'crime'.

Source: Scottish Government 2010, Statistical Bulletin Crime and Justice Series: Domestic Abuse Recorded by the Police in Scotland.

A Scottish study involving 1,395 young people aged between 14 and 18 found that a third of young men and a sixth of young women thought that using violence in an intimate relationship was acceptable under certain circumstances. The same study found that 17% of young women had experienced violence or abuse in their own relationship with a boyfriend.

Source: M and Cartmel, F (2005) Young People's Attitudes Towards Gendered Violence, Edinburgh: NHS Scotland

The 'Raising the Issue of Domestic Abuse in School' Study revealed that 32% of pupils in one secondary school in Scotland disclosed anonymously that they were currently experiencing or living with domestic abuse.

She literally pushes him into a fence and starts hitting him, how is it not a good example?

Well it's kind of a bit late if he has to be in an unconscious heap on the floor before anyone intervenes.

All he had to do was grab hold of her chin and everyone swooped in.
