Helen went to ask Danielle for clarification of what was being rumoured behind her back. Instead of simply telling Helen "No, I didn't say that" or whatever she chose to take the it into an argument and onto the next level.
Then Stephen enters the room and she kicks off about him.
Helen went too far but Danielle kicked off first, hence the reason she went to apologise.
How you can label either of them "classy" is baffling to me.
