International football is a very competitive sport as we all know. It is a sad state of affairs when no one has any expectation that the England team has a chance of winning the world cup.
I think that there should be a 'Team GB' so that the national team would include the best players from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. At the Olympics there was a Team GB and it did very well. I don't see why this is not adopted in football also. How many more hopeless world cup tournaments are England going to play before someone realises that this is not the way? |

Guess that's one way the Scots, Welsh and Irish can qualify for a major tournament consistently.
