If she's not gonna stand up for herself then no one else is gonna do it for her, if she did start standing up for herself then she would become popular in the house.

I'd love for her to stand up for herself more, but it's not as simple as that. If you don't have high confidence, or if you're feeling intimidated because of the situation, it's not so easy to fight back. That doesn't mean she's fair game or deserves it.
And even confident people who do fight back can be bullied. I highly doubt it would suddenly stop just because she argues back.
