You don't have to be naive for entertainment at all. We've had many self aware, smart participants in shows like this in the past.

I'd actually say Kim is very naive, she completely misjudged the entire Steven situation and how that developed. You can tell after the major boos they got she was completely taken by surprise.

It's just when she becomes self aware, instead of successfully putting a front on, she shuts down and doesn't show anything.
