Viewers who think Chris is creepy will think of him in that way regardless of the environment or people he is around. He could be making a cup of tea and viewers be thinking "he looks creepy with that kettle".

It looked awkward, it probably was, that doesn't mean that he's being creepy or she feels uncomfortable around him now, people have awkward moments all the time
