Many many moons ago, as a child when we lived in SA.
Can't really remember much about it, I know it is a proper little Kingdom, oh yeah, and Richard E Grant was born there.

No,no and never.
Totally different to when we lived there.
Improved by million per cent because apartheid is abolished, but far too much crime and corruption now.
Much preferred living in Zimbabwe..before that despot Mugabe ruined it.

In all honesty,I could not live with all those snakes now. I shudder just thinking about it.

No, a lot of people say that with regards to volunteer projects in Africa. Some people don't mind but for some it gets a bit too isolated and they hate it.

Places like Bali for your first one may suit you as if it gets too much you can head to Ubud, Kuta, sanur, Lombok, Gili Islands etc.
