If it's not, then it isn't an acceptable word to throw at another person.

Love ya though x

I'm the same as you doll, i don't like those names (can't even bring myself to type them)

I don't know why people don't just use the words vagina and penis, they are the correct words, and there's no insult!

However my DD has just learnt what the word p***y means and finds it hilarious! I sometimes find her just singing the word over and over Lol! Bloody secondary schools!

I think any slang for vagina isn't particularly pleasant tbh, but like you said the opposite is usually funny, how strange.

'You alright cock?'

'Aww bollocks'

Weirdly enough, its a word that seems to be accepted more in some regions of the UK than others. Don't know if there is some historical reason for that or not, but I've certainly seen it. In regions of Scotland such as Glasgow, its almost every second word spoken in some circles, so no-one would blink if called it. Try the same thing in Edinburgh, and you would likely be shot at dawn

It's a slight step below punching somebody in the face where I live, and people who openly use it don't do it for very long.

She should receive a warning for using it tbh, imagine Mark's grandmother who will obviously be watching at home, she can't stand to hear any vulgar words, so imagine how she felt when the C-bomb got dropped, and she ain't going to be the only one out there by a long shot. It's BB's duty to make sure it doesn't make the highlights, or that the housemates using it never use it twice.
Thank you so much for your post. I am 72 and a grandmother but I consider myself very broad minded. I have no respect for people who would use that word in public, let alone to have it broadcast on TV. Craigy, you have my respect.

The worst part of it is that Helen and those around her don't at all seem phased when she drops a C-bomb, I'd hit the roof. I know that when living in BB apparently housemates get so used to it they forget about the cameras, but they should have some thought for the public. Some sort of filter.

Although with Mark acting up 24/7 you'd think it would be difficult to ever forget your on a TV show, he's a human reminder.

I'm sorry you've had to hear some of the vulgarity this season, even if Big Brother/Channel 5 are not.

Yeah i'm pretty sure she said it once whilst drunk (unless i misheard her), i was like NO ASHLEIGH NO

I think it was in a conversation to Ash, i think she said something like "When i first met you i thought you were a C " but don't take my word for it, i tend to dream things up sometimes lol

It's the most powerful of all the swear words that's for sure.

Interestingly though, as a word, it has the same root as 'cut' and also the county of 'Kent' which is so called because of the river Thames which 'cuts' into the land. Then it evolved into a derogatory way of saying vagina.

But the way most people use it these days is not so much as a crass way of saying 'vagina' - most people use it as a hardcore form of saying 'idiot'.

Ironically it's become a turbo gear way of saying you're a 'dick'

Actually now you've said that it does sound familiar, that's disappointing.

At least she was drunk and wasn't trying to offend somebody, maybe just using it as a strong point as to how much her opinion on Ash has changed, but that doesn't actually excuse the use of the word. Big Brother should of punished her Steven style and made her wash her mouth out with soup in the Diary room tbh!

Same goes for Helen and Ash, and they should of all received warnings.

Default The C-Bomb Word.

The C-Bomb Word.

I haven't used the C-Bomb Word for years,mainly because I don't like the
sound of it,plus it's a strong swear word in some quarters. And since
I've been watching Big Brother for about nine years now,I've learnt that
the C-word is taboo on Channel Four and Channel 5.
Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, of Big Brother 7 UK fame, used the C-word on Big
Brother's Bit On The Side a few weeks since, and was promptly told off
by Emma Willis
The C-word,as you know,is used to insult a person-both seriously and,in some cases,as a joke,and is a casual word for vagina.
When I use to use it - and sparingly I should add!!! - I can think of an
incident when a workmate tried to wind me up as joke: He called me a C,
so I replied "I'd rather be a C than a pillock like you."Since I'm very attracted to women I was rather proud of being called a C!
I use the attractive nickname of Pussy for vagina, and believe or not,I was
actually nicknamed PUSSY! It was a right laugh,I was proud of it
and there was nothing to be ashamed about!
The American term for vagina is Box,which just doesn't have the same ring to it like pussy does.......
