Take That put a lot of hard work in and waited an exceptionally long time to get back together, as well, let's not forget. They started the current trend of reuniting old pop acts. Take That came first, Steps followed in their footsteps a few years later and then the Big Reunion cheapened the entire format and now we have an overload of reuniting acts and the public doesn't care anymore. Jury's out on whether Take That have any gay members IMO... and same goes for One Direction... But I don't think any of them have what it takes to be successful solo stars; I'd imagine a couple of them will get an album out but not one of them can dance and none of them are so brilliant at singing that they could feasibly avoid the dance routine ****. That said, the UK's been missing a male popstar for a very long time (Olly Murs just feels like the understudy for the role, he's never properly stepped up to the challenge) so I could be wrong I guess.
