Gary is a very direct kind of guy. He didn't take any offense at James suggesting he take a shower. In fact he said 'get me a towel and I'll take one now' James is also a very direct kind of guy. They have a very frank, open and direct dynamic. Actions speak louder than words and James takes the time and effort to communicate clearly with Gary.

James is a very macho guy but he is also open to listening to other peoples feelings and flirting with Leslie for a bit o a laugh.
