I know i didn't, i was clarifying that people dislike him for more reasons than 'people have to repeat themselves' .. and rudeness is never acceptable and shouldn't just be excused because of someone's age.
People say about teenagers over 14 that 'they're old enough to know better' then why shouldn't older people know any better considering they have so much life experience?

I know people dislike him for more reasons which is why I posted above 'includes'....

And I can't possibly answer your question on behalf of these people that say what you are saying about over 14 year olds because I'm not one of them.

Some old people do get grumpy and rude as they get older, it's just what happens, maybe they are sick of seeing the same **** from the same people constantly I have no idea

It's quite a common thing, if a teenager is being rude to someone or ungrateful a lot of people would say that they should know better, i don't understand how someone's age should qualify them to get away with being rude, i understand that older people get grumpy and stuff, but everyone gets grumpy sometimes and if a younger housemate gets grumpy and is rude, they get pulled up on it, yet Gary apparently gets to be as rude as he wants and is excused for it because of his age, idgi.

I don't where you are coming up with 'Someone is older it's ok if they are rude' though?

I have seen plenty of posts about Gary saying he is rude so what exactly is your point in relation to my posts above? I never mentioned rudeness in regards to age at all.

You did refer to rudeness as a part of being old though.. you said 'it's just what happens' as if to excuse it and make it okay.

Not until you brought it up though...which is why I don't really understand where you are going with your points that are in reply to my quotes.

It's a fact that some old people do become rude and grumpy.

It might be a fact, but it doesn't make it okay, which a lot of people seem to disagree with.
I'm just saying, people who say that people dislike Gary because of his disabilities are ridiculous, i'm not saying you're one of those people, but i was just using your post as an example.
We're never going to see eye to eye about Gary, but it's getting increasingly annoying to see people try to excuse his behaviour with his disabilities.. again, not pointed at you

And it's also a fact that some people of any age (including 18) can be rude and grumpy, a reason why Ashleigh was constantly criticised on this forum because 'that's not how an 18 year old should be acting, they should be happy and enjoying life!!!!!!!'. But it's fine for Gary to be because he's 70? I like Gary, he's probably my favourite housemate, I was just agreeing with the OP that he made a good point and that when you think back to the summer and how many people were fed up with Ashleigh's age being brought up it's just the same thing now with Gary.

I actually agree with this though in most cases. Just pointing out the double standards of saying it's okay for someone older but not someone younger
