It's because there are too many up for eviction and as with Leslie people thought she was safe and didn't vote for her, that's my opinion anyway.

People tend to vote for the ones they think are at risk of going so hence the dead wood has been saved and a little nugget of gold has been lost

People make the mistake of tactical voting. You can't be tactical with vote to save.
