Nobody is saying she doesn't have a right to pass comment. It's more how and when it's delivered. With meanness and hatred, along with a good dollop of content,which betrays the fact that she had supposedly just made peace with Gary.

Not in the least Meatloaf is the female equivalent of Bully Elliot, both bullies, both sly and both simmering with discontent for the old man. Either will do anything to gain some mileage in his downfall.

So far they both have something else in common, they have both failed miserably in the objective, to the point where Mr Busey's stock couldn't be higher.

she could have easily said it to his face, which would have been awful to see and i wouldn't have stuck up for her if she did that.. but she didn't, she waited until he wasn't there and had a private conversation with Edele, she stated what she thought about how his wife had insulted them all, she had every right to, i din't see no nastiness, just someone passing comment on something someone had said to insult them.
