Think I'm gonna aim for a minimum of 7 rounds, maybe go up to 10?

16 entries now. Thinking ahead, do people think this could be a good replacement for the Pub Quiz seeing as that's become nearly impossible to run because of Google reverse image search? Maybe could have teams of two or three people coming up with answers or keep it as a solo thing... and it could become a knockout thing after a few rounds, so say after three rounds the team/individual with the lowest score in that round or overall gets eliminated... or it could be a bottom two type thing and all the other players vote to decide who stays or goes... just some ideas really at this stage.

It's a pretty foolproof idea, although I guess teams could tell each other what they're putting for each answer and try to play off one another with misinformation?

But for those of us who just want it to be a bit of fun it's a great idea.

That's part of the game though, there's nothing stopping you from trying to trick other players/teams to get ahead - but you'd have to be sucked into that for it to work on you. I like how this is playing out so far though, I think it's been a success!

I think letting every team member answer would be fun as well, just so you have more answers (and points) available, and just to see whether teams are definitely working together. Would love it if a team of five sent in five different answers

Sounds good.. I find this a lot more enjoyable than the other games. Probably because it takes no effort and no form of commitment, but yeah. Could be good if it was teams and there were more questions.

Yeah I like that idea too, there are a lot of possibilities with this idea I think, might take a few different test runs to figure out what's best (or maybe get it right on the first go haha) - I guess this edition is a bit of a guinea pig - could run a second edition in November say, trial out the team thing?

Yeah it takes all of a minute to send in answers and you can drop in and out - could try out teams and more questions next time I run it?

Re: pub quiz replacement, how do people feel about the following format?

10 themed rounds and 5 general question bonus rounds for extra points. The themed rounds work as they have done here, the bonus rounds you can pick up extra points for certain things (e.g. if 4 people answer the same way, everyone who did so gets 5 extra points - but any more than 4 then there are no extra points - that kind of thing) - The bonus rounds would come after 2 themed rounds.

Round 1
Round 2
Bonus Round I - here, there would be an elimination, the team with the lowest overall score and the team with the lowest score in this round would be in the bottom two and the other players/teams would vote who to eliminate.
Round 3
Round 4
Bonus Round II - lowest overall score vs lowest round score elimination.
Round 5
Round 6
Bonus Round III - lowest overall score vs lowest round score elimination.
Round 7
Round 8
Bonus Round IV - lowest overall score vs lowest round score elimination.
Round 9
Round 10
Bonus Round V - lowest overall score vs lowest round score elimination and a last ditch attempt for the other teams to try and win.
