On the fourth episode of Cook Islands, and Aitu saving the bird's nest.
I usually wait until after I've watched a season to post here so I don't get spoiled but I had to say that's probably one of my favourite scenes of the entire show. ![]() I'm actually really enjoying this season and I adore this cast, more than any season I've watched thus far - not sure what the general perception is but I think it'll definitely be up there for me once I've seen the whole thing. Half the problem w me for CI is that... does anyone else in the cast inspire any emotion in you, positive or negative? ![]() It surprises me it’s the cast that you’re praising CI for I don’t wish to rain on your parade though!

I ****ing hate Andrew Savage but I'll give him credit for 10 year old Troy's sexual awakening and kickstarting my Thing for daddies.

Benry's boot episode of Nicaragua was watchable but nothing special. A bit too strategy-driven for me and there weren't really any character moments that made it worthwhile, it was just all about both alliances fighting for Sash even though they don't trust him anyway
Here are my things of note-Chase continues to be a bumbling idiot in the best way. He made an unnecessary promise to Sash that he'll bring him on a Reward, and then immediately breaks it by bringing Jane instead? He came to immediately regret it since he left Sash behind with Benry, Jud, and Dan, the exact alliance that is trying to stake claim to Sash ![]() -When Chase tried to smooth things over with Sash after the Reward, Sash was soooooo insincere about how it was all okay, only to immediately ask Chase to swear on his mother and on his dead father to take him to the F3 or F2 thankfully Chase was just like "uh no I'm not swearing on my dad." Sash was equally insincere with Jane right before TC, repeatedly calling her his second mother and saying that he could never betray his mother or his second mother. I wish that Sash just had a more well-crafted edit because he could really be a worthwhile character. He's so earnestly smarmy and everything he says just DRIPS of insincerity and it's hilariously unsettling. I could imagine what it would be like to take a walk with Sash to the watering hole and have him transparently talk strategy at you, and then wink at you while smiling like the Cheshire Cat. It's so off-putting through television and I imagine it's even worse in real life.-In the latest of Jane's lovable hypocrisies, she came back from Reward SOBBING when she found out that the dudes killed Kelly-Nay the chicken and then proceeded to hold a funeral with a gravesite and cross akin to Jane's pet cemetery in Thailand. This is amusing when you remember how irate Jane was when losing the last Reward Challenge. Someone, I think Sash?, asked if they should ask the winning team if they could eat a chicken that night and Jane just angrily grunts "WHO CARES?!?!?! THEY'RE EATING TONIGHT ANYWAY!!!!!!!!" Edit: WAIT this Jane thing is even more hilarious because the secret scene for the episode is her stealing one of Kelly-Nay's eggs in the middle of the night and attempting to cook it. She justifies it by asserting that she feeds the chicken part of her rice and she's the only person who feeds the chicken, so therefore Jane is entirely responsible for the chicken laying eggs and thus she is entitled to eating an entire egg all for herself. Benry woke up in the middle of the night and did his best Sherlock Holmes to find out what Jane was up to but couldn't quite get his finger on the pulse

Sandra was ****ing hilarious taking Morgan's tarp
Savage is already such a douche, and Osten was a bit of a jerk in Episode 1, as Nicole said, so it's fun seeing them suffer. Osten has already mentioned he wants to quit... and people on Reddit make excuses for him, saying he had a staph infection but like, it's only Day 4 lol.

Jane was absolutely hilarious but yeah she did have some annoyances & hypocrisies & stuff like that which stopped me from full-on LOVING her. Quality Survivor character nonetheless

Finished Cook Islands.
I liked the season... the cast were individually rootable with a few exceptions, the underdogs and my four favourite contestants made it to the end, and it was interesting for the most part. It was mostly easy watching, in that there weren't too many gripping moments and there was a lot of predictability but it didn't bore me. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my favourites and by far the most likeable contestants in the final. I live for the season we get a woman dominating the immunity challenges, though.
