For me, would prefer the Conservatives to hold this seat in Rochester. I am actually glad the date is the 20th November and not earlier.

If UKIP do take it,then I already despair for the 2015 election, which will be dominated by whatever percentage UKIP have in the polls all through and hyping them up as was the case with the Lib Dems last time in part.

This should be a solid Conservative seat,I hope they keep it and it will be all the sweeter as UKIP and Nigel Farage started campaigning right off after Clacton.
Therefore now, not to take it, would be,at least seen as, a setback of sorts.
