I Love my brick
|
RIP to him, I loved Fraggle Rock
Gerard Parkes was the sole-human star on Jim Henson’s much loved live-action puppet show Fraggle Rock during the 1980s. His agent Gerry Jordan confirmed that Parkes died from natural causes in a Toronto nursing home, just days after his 90th birthday. Parkes also appeared in children’s television shows such as ‘The Littlest Hobo’, ‘A Muppet Family Christmas’ and ‘Shining Time Station’, as well as theatre productions, films and radio dramas. Parkes was born in Dublin, Ireland, on October 16th 1924 — although his professional IMDb and Wikipedia pages list this as 1936 to help keep him hired. He made the move to Canada after World War II. He is survived by Sheelagh Norman, his partner of two decades. http://www.independent.ie/entertainm...-30680716.html
