They should never have killed Kathy or Pat off. Kathy should've been sent to prison in South Africa which was the reason Ben returned to the Square if they really wanted him back on the square that bad. Pat's death was a joke.

I can understand them doing the sketch thing with all of those characters except Lucy... Isn't it supposed to be funny? How can they get laughs out of Ian being reunited with his recently murdered daughter?

EastEnders airs more drama for Shirley Carter next week as she returns to screens with a secret.

Shirley (Linda Henry) is tracked down by her family shortly after the tragic revelation that Stan is suffering from terminal cancer.

Viewers can expect a big clash between Stan (Timothy West) and Aunt Babe (Annette Badland) after she drops the bombshell about his health during Lee's 22nd birthday celebrations at the Queen Vic.

In the heated row that follows, Stan accuses Babe of knowing where Shirley is. When Mick (Danny Dyer) overhears the argument, Babe has to come clean about Shirley's whereabouts by revealing that someone appears to have been staying in the family's old caravan.
When Mick and Dean (Matt Di Angelo) head off to investigate, they soon come face-to-face with Shirley again and assure her that Phil has covered for her with the police over the shooting.

Shirley is stunned as Babe has withheld this crucial piece of information from her, but she still refuses to go home even when she hears that Stan is dying - convinced that her family are better off without her.

However, once her family have left again, it's clear that Shirley hasn't been entirely honest with them as a man emerges from the darkness and embraces her…

The next day, Mick and Dean refuse to give up on Shirley and head back to the caravan park with a surprising plan in mind.

After attaching the locked caravan to the back of Mick's car, the pair drive it back to Albert Square, but they receive the shock of their lives when they open the caravan door.

Fans will have to wait and see what they find, but show bosses are promising that Shirley's secret will cause shockwaves in a must-see week for Carter family drama.
