As for Saul.. maybe they didn't see him as a huge threat, cos he is old and doesn't appear strong. Also, since they have him out in the middle of nowhere, they maybe didn't see the need for additional guards..

Also, did anyone notice that they effed-up during the scene where they were all in the meeting watching the video of Saul. It switched from being Saul's face to being a shot from further back where you could see their camera... I don't think it was deliberate.

Yes, obviously the entire theme of this season is that the Pakistani military/ ISI is helping the Taliban. How is that not obvious to anyone watching?

Can't believe they killed Fara, thought out of everyone in the embassy she was second most likely to live after Quinn. Glad that Quinn has gone rogue though and finally caught that ISI operative from earlier in the season.

Heartbreaking for Max though.. it's been fairly clear he was in love with her..

I love that Quinn has gone dark though.. this could be a massive plotline for him and he has been quite underused so far.

I read that there's a big death coming up in the finale... people are speculating that it will be Saul... ISTG it better not be..

Looks like this entire Haqqani plot may turn into one huge US conspiracy, which would fit perfectly with the conversation Saul had earlier in the season with one of the ISI operatives (I think it might have been Khan, actually).

Oh shiiiiiitttttt I didn't see that coming. When Dar Adal popped up again on the "previously on Homeland" I did presume he'd become involved somehow but this is messed up, I can't really see how they're gonna make sense out of it

I love Lockhart too... I remember at first hating him but he's got such range to his character. I think that whatever is going down, the plan is for Lockhart to take the fall for it..

it's been a slow burn for most of the season, but holy god damn the few eps have been AMAZING. such a good show.

and i really wanted Carrie to pop that piece of **** right there on the street, but that british pakistani guy stp[[ed her. i can't imagine things ending well for him./ that evil pakistani woman he's always with will kill him i think. there's no way he
s getting out of this alive.

It's turned out to be a great season though. i don't miss Brody at all. (i do miss Quinn in my bed though omg! ugh! i want him so badly. i'

Only 3 things happened really, 2 of them we already knew would happen (Quinn not quitting and Saul getting back in the agency) and one of them was the most utterly boring plots of all time with Carrie and her mother. The actress playing her mother is terrible as well. Oh well, very good season on the whole.

A lot of people were saying (in reviews etc.) that the second to last episode should have been the finale, as the actual finale felt more like a 'first episode of a new season'. I have to agree.

Season 5 is being set 2 and a half years later, set in Europe (most likely Germany), and Carrie is no longer CIA.

Big news on opening night at PaleyFest: In what EP-director Alex Gansa called a “tiny, tiny teaser,” he revealed that Homeland Season 5 will jump forward 2 1/2 years and that Claire Danes’ Carrie Mathison will “no longer be an intelligence officer.” He also said the Showtime drama will be shooting the show in Europe, “probably in Germany.”
