Default stopping smoking with e-cigs.

I've recently started to use an e cig to help me stop smoking, I was never a big smoker and only smoked at work and on nights out. It was more the hand to mouth thing that I needed .

Any way I've bought an e cig called the tesla spider with a mini nautilus tank. I'm using some great juices aswell. I have a couple one is called black powder and is an aniseed and liquorice combo and the other is called Marshall traite.

What are you using if you do vape and what flavours do you use?
I got them from a website that sell other flavours too. Give them a try.

The website is called www.plumeblu.co.uk they are all made fresh in the uk and are pretty cheap.

The one I use gives off pretty decent clouds and has a good kick.

So if anyone is going to try and give up smoking for the new year resolutions. .....give them a go.

They're a rubbish idea, if you want to stop smoking just stop...

'Since November, manufacturers have been allowed to advertise the use of electronic cigarettes on TV, as long as they do not promote tobacco or target non-smokers or young people.

Critics of so-called e-cigarettes argue that the devices may encourage people to see smoking as acceptable.'

They were banned for the same reason cigs were, they don't want to glamourise smoking.

I'm evidence of that, I started to look older, and fit in with the arty set who sat in a smoky haze writing poetry and sketching.

They're brilliant. As for the just "stop" nonsense. Cigarettes are extremely addictive it's hard to just stop.

Anyhow I use the plain tobacco one max strength.

My brother in law was a really heavy smoker, used the ecigs for a bit and they helped him to stop completely, Stuarts aunt too she was a heavy smoker for years and after being on the ecig for a few months she doesn't touch either any more.

I know I managed to get myself addicted twice.
It is possible to stop without ecigs, never said it would be easy mind.

So they aren't a rubbish idea then like you first claimed above, plenty of people think the opposite of that and it's been proven over and over again that they can work.

I quit cold turkey. It was extremely difficult though.

I know folks who have quit using the e-cigs.

My o/h has tried e-cigs, patches, pills, etc. Nothing seems to work for him. I guess it's just down to everyone's individual willpower.

If they work for you, they're worth it though.. anything is.

So what if they do, I still think as an aid to stop smoking using something that contains nicotine is rubbish.

Just because you think something doesn't make it fact though, plenty of people manage to stop with the help of the ecigs as well as other things that contain nicotine like patches, gum etc...if it gets people off of the real cigs then there's nothing rubbish about it IMO.

Why are you getting all bent out of shape about what I think on this Josy? If you don't agree I don't care, it doesn't change my view.
If anything I would've thought it would make it more difficult to stop as it's more socially acceptable to vape so you get the nicotine and the hand to mouth thing and your not socially excluded.

Its a discussion Kizzy. Just because I have a different opinion doesn't mean I'm getting bent out of shape at all, I disagreed with your comment that rubbished a product that has help thousands of people to get off of the real cigs...

Not in my experience, it's really helped a lot of people I know cut way back (myself) included) and stop completely as well. I don't even vape in public either, I just have a quick blast when I get a craving and it gets rid of it. It does actually help people to cut back and quit so it's far from rubbish

Yes it is so allow me my opinion please. Big deal if you feel they've helped people, if there's still nicotine in the cartridge they're still addicted therefore I don't personally see that as helping.
I appreciate you do.

It feeds and satisfies your addiction, you're still addicted that's why.
It hasn't helped you quit, because you haven't quit.

Nicotine in itself is the addictive substance of cigs but actually ingested it's not harmful per se.....it's the rest of the crap in cigarettes that causes the health problems, that's why doctors will prescribe NRT products. Anything that helps you stop smoking in the traditional sense is good IMO.

No one said you weren't allowed an opinion but others are allowed to disagree with it.

And yes I think they are a pretty big deal if they help people to stop smoking that have been smoking heavily for years, I also find your theory a bit flawed tbh, it's like saying anyone that was addicted to alcohol is still an addict if they use mouthwash, certain cooking sprays and so on.

If nicotine is the only thing you stay addicted to and you're not putting all of the other crap in your body, I see them as only a good thing.
