Well said Poppsy, I to am overweight and I also have a disabled daughter.

I think people pick on one explanation of a thing without seeing the wider picture. I know I could lose weight and be more active even with RA but I am happy as I am so KHs words do not effect me one little bit tbh. Her meaning is obvious with her friendship to the chappie who stood up for her on BOTS, he is lovely and rather well built.

I have enjoyed her in the house and I have looked at the deeper meaning of some of her comments, most of which have an underlying meaning. The one which comes to mind but which I have said before, is the one re not going in there to make friends. I always like to let people come to me, then I know they want to be with me. To creep is to patronise especially in the situation she is in.

As I said I do agree with quite a bit of her comments.

Well, that's of course a serious exaggeration.

But judging her for comments she chose to make (in this instance, mocking a then-seriously ill ebola sufferer) is entirely fair, I don't think that's laying any more at her door than is warranted.

There is a difference, we have genuinely disabled people who should be able to claim but then there are those who scrounge and get everything. My daughter is disabled and there is no possibility of her working. My ex nextdoor neighbour was classed as disabled and yet he was out underneath his car, cutting hedges, standing on ladders etc. etc. That is the difference and imo that is how it should be read. Genuine disabled people do not ask for the disability but they need to be supported. So let us separate her views and understand what she was saying.

That's all and well but I never started this thread because I care at all about what she said about fat people.

I do agree with this....some like her, some don't and I honestly don't think one person on here in the last week or so have been persuaded that their opinion of her is wrong. It's the same points laboured in every thread. If she (or Perez) for that matter found a cure for cancer tomorrow, I can't see that many people changing their views on them as people

I was quite amazed they moved the nurse to England and even more concerned that health workers were not thoroughly checked and in quarantine before coming back to the UK. Several tests were not carried out, it seems.

I was more concerned about that aspect than KH mocking the Scots. It is what she and others like Private Eye have been lampooning for years.

By making more of her posts, you give her publicity, so if you want her silenced, ignore her.

Once she was in the UK the priority was getting her the best available treatment. If Ebola erupted in Scotland it would not stop at Hadrian's Wall. They made the right call and it worked. However I agree that they should do more tests before letting someone come back to the UK.

Mocking Scots was the least of the issues. She mocked a dying person on twitter. Private eye have never stooped to that level. There's nothing normal or sane about that comment.
