If you get to the final night and don't win, effectively you get diddly squat......I know where I would want to be.....either an early evictee like alex that got what he wanted, record deals and a tour, or Hopkins the crown and loads of work.

Certainly not anywhere else on finals night because as many before have said, its the kiss of death to get evicted on finals night because nobody wants to talk to a placed HM, they all want the winner. Poor Perez, hes in for a shock when he gets oiked before Hoppo.

I think all HMs that make it to the final need an applause the secret is who will be remembered

OOOOOh Meow Niamh.....Not like you to be bitter or say things that are wrong. I have always said he will make the finals and if you care to look way back to my first post on week one, I predicted he would make the finals but never win.

In fact if memory serves me right, I PREDICTED the final 5 would be Hoppo, Michele, Callum, Cheggars and Perez.

Not bad for an old out of touch fart eh. Never mind, I will raise a glass of Chardonay to you guys from Malta tomorrow seeing as how the trip was paid for by CBB bets, lol.

I would say it has nothing to do with placing and all to do with the character of the individual. Frenchy was by far the most successful hm after the last cbb. Even if Kav won the show, he would still be a nobody the next day

Probably last place in the final. It would feel a bit disappointing knowing that you most got so close, yet so far and may have been wanted out for ages (depending on nominations etc). I think I'd feel quite embarrassed to finish last out of 4/5 other housemates.

But to answer the tittle of the thread I would rather be dramatically evicted before the eviction and the whole night be about me than leave a thing but first place in the final.

Third because, you've made it to the Top 3, but don't have to suffer the embarrassment of runner-up for loosing against another person. Especially to a landslide.

4th or 5th has always been a bit 'meh'. And I suspect coming 2nd must always be a little bit gutting. But either are ultimately better than being one of the first two evictees - especially if you've survived a few of them.

I never said 2nd place was worse than 3rd.
But coming 2nd would gut me more than coming third, as it could've been me, sort of thing.
I can't really explain, TBH.

Imagine:

Housemate A = 45%
Housemate B = 30%
Housemate C = 25% (THIRD PLACE)

Compared to...

Winner = 85%
2nd = 15%

That 85 : 15 landslide would make me feel more ****, than coming 3rd and getting a quarter of the voting share.
