So the producers say "Oh please don't leave, it will damage our ratings"

Which is Perez more likely to say:

(a) Oh Ok I'll stay

(b) I don't give a flying ***k about your ratings, I want outta here.

It's all about the money, honey.

I'm entirely prepared to believe there was some carrot and stick. The stick being the threat of losing his megabucks fee!
