I can't speak for why others hate him but here are reasons i found him horrible. Maybe others agree.

1. Double Standards : He deliberately creates upset and tries to offend others (Alex, Michelle, Calum etc) but as soon as anyone responds to it - he is up in the diary room with the rule book claiming that HE is the one being 'threatened' 'abused' 'offended' etc etc.

2. Making comments aimed to cause hurt : eg what he said to Michelle about her voice for the LGBT community and the 'AIDS victims of the early 80s' (which he knew was a low blow to upset her)

3. Non-stop loud attention seeking : Shouting constantly and what he says is almost always either glorifying himself or putting down others for his own gain.

4. Not caring for others : His behaviour shows how little he cares anyway but he even said repeatedly how he 'doesn't care what people think, inside or outside the house'. When people confront him over his attitude/behaviour he has no mind to respect or change, he just simply tells them to 'leave the house'. If they go in another room to avoid him, he says he will 'follow them in - just to annoy them' He takes delight in upsetting people.

I could go on but that's enough to explain most of what people hate about him i am sure.

From what I can tell off my friends who dislike him etc they find his attention seeking as they out it I don't view it as that as a reason why they dislike him. They also find him rather annoying.

The funny thing is that KH is a nasty piece of work, but because she's british and a woman she gets away with it. Perez is not even nasty.
