Opinion, with a little insight behind it. As she can function at a very high level, unless she went seeking a diagnosis it is not obvious enough.

I can't help feel it would have picked up by now. Her behaviour is strange and there is an odd emotional detachment about her that is quite creepy yet she seems to have a powerful hold over her gang in there.

I think she is just a horrible person. Hence the emotional detachment.
As for her gang. I think they are all aware of what kind of person she is but chose to stick with her in order not to be targeted & stay in longer.

I see what you mean but does her emotional detachment make her a horrible person. Or does her being a horrible person make her emotionally detached. I guess is it a cause or effect?

When you think about it, IF there really is something wrong with Katie H & she has little or no control over her actions, the likes of Michelle, Kav, Cami & Calum should be even more ashamed of themselves for backing her up.
She has an excuse for her behaviour they don't.

I would go with this. I don't think you could be a horrible person unless you were emotionally detached

You will find throughout history that the most charismatic leaders often have "Sociopathic" characteristics.
