Regarding Job Centres... I would vote for any party who shook up these places and made them work. They're terrible, soulless places full of people who would struggle to get employment outside the public sector because they have no people skills and flaunt the little power they have.
That is so true. Of course i have met some people who genuinely tried to help me at the Jobcentre, but most of them are on a power trip.

I suppose it's like everything, the few good ones get overshadowed by the scores of useless ones.

Yes. It's wrong to take advantage of someone in a vulnerable position. They know you won't complain, so they can do what they want.
