After much speculation, Lena Headey has confirmed that she is indeed pregnant!

This will be the second child for the 41-year-old Game of Thrones actress.

“I’m happy to confirm that I’m having my second child this summer,” Lena told People. “I only hope that this announcement can help me to regain some of the privacy I have recently lost to prying photographers and ask that they please respect my privacy and let me enjoy this time.”

Lena stepped out showing off her baby bump earlier in the week – see the photos!

Lena is already mom to son Wylie, almost 5, with musician Peter Loughran, whom she divorced in 2013.

When it comes to HBO’s Game Of Thrones, readers of George R.R. Martin’s A Song Of Ice And Fire series have long had the advantage of knowing what’s coming next, and the pleasure of constantly holding it over the heads of those who don’t. But according to Martin himself, season five is going to prove a rough ride for those readers. Speaking at the Writers Guild West Awards, Martin warned, “People are going to die who don’t die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy. So everybody better be on their toes. David [Benioff] and D.B. [Weiss] are even bloodier than I am.” And without knowing exactly who’s going to get poisoned, bludgeoned, stabbed, shot, or catapulted over the Wall in the North, readers are now primed to be dealt the biggest blow since non-readers finally discovered what all their smug references to the “Red Wedding” were about.

It wasn’t all grim tidings for fans, however, as Martin established that he hasn’t totally abandoned his day job. “Whatever happens with the show, I’m going to finish the books,” Martin said. “But each of these books are 1,500 pages long and they each have enough material in them for several seasons.”

Of course, seeing as it’s increasingly free from the constraints of Martin’s narrative, HBO could actually do whatever it wants for a dozen more seasons, killing freely until Ser Pounce finally ascends the Iron Throne as the last creature left alive.

Why, as a reader, should I continue to invest in this world if he is going to allow the TV moguls hack away at it however they see fit? How do I avoid spoilers from the show, in an ever present media world, if I want to hold out for the books?

The killing of characters in the show that are alive in the books has been happening for a while, it's just usually really minor characters that don't make much difference, but George never shuts up about it anyway. It'll probably be more prominent this season though because the show is moving past the books now, which is something he can only blame himself for.

It has taken a long time but i'm finally up to date. My god, this show is incredible

The first season 2 seasons i had to watch twice.. First time round i was still left pretty clueless about what was going on at times, kept forgetting the characters names and couldn't really keep up with everything that was happening but everything made more sense second time round. Seasons 3 & 4 have been brilliant, the red wedding was obviously the highlight.

Robb was a nice enough character but was pretty boring and sat around not doing much, same for Stannis except he went into a war and got destroyed but has made up for it coming to Jons rescue at the end of S4. I'm probably alone but Joffrey was brilliant, i was gutted when he was killed off.. there was something really intriguing about him.

Jon, Daenerys, Hound, Bronn & Tyrion have all been my favourite characters.. Arya, Sam Ramsey, Jaime, Missandei, Theon & Shae (RIP) are all really good/interesting too.

Yeah it took a while but shes grown on me a lot, her character is one of the ones thats developed the most. Her travels with the hound were great too.
