Lots of things are available online and at chemists that have the potential to kill, people can and have been killed by them.

It seemed hypocritical that drinking and drugs are seen as acceptable almost advocated pastimes and they poison 1000s every year.

I think if someone overdosed on drink or drugs people would also be saying it was a bit stupid of the person I don't see where this hypocrisy you're accusing people of is coming from tbqh
