If you purposely miss out letters (much like I did in my sweary post example) then its purposely avoiding the swear filter that James saw fit to install.

My views on the filter are pretty well known, but I respect that James thinks it helps keep the forum a nicer place

Since we're giving ideas and stuff, could we maybe not have it so you could turn on/off the swear filter yourself? Because I think people would be able to judge if they would be happy seeing swear words or not..

An old forum I went on, made for teenagers, they even had it
