Yeah, he's Whitney's brother. He came into it as a dodgy character when Whitney's birth mother was in contact. He stuck around after the story and married Janine. Then she tried to kill him.

Then it was revealed he'd slept with Stacey when she had her bipolar meltdown and the baby she had wasn't Bradley's. Then they started an affair in the buildup to Stacey's exit when it was revealed she'd killed Archie. Janine stabbed herself to frame her and Stacey left without Ryan.

I think a year after he went on the run after murdering Whitney's pimp.

I remember Janine stabbing herself (she needs to come back btw - amazing character). Stacy left in a plane on Christmas Day and the credits were pretty
