Does anyone on here travel a lot? Would be kind of nice to talk to a few others who do.

You met the wrong people then. I love seeing the world. I'll admit my fave times are when I am not around too many people or with just a select few in the middle of nowhere (not a busy city lover).

Not a lot. The visa is £138 (it allows you there for a full year - 23 months), the flights depending on how you choose to do the journey are anywhere between £550 - £1000 (the £1000 being if you break up the journey with other destinations such as Thailand, Bali, Australia, rather than straight there) and all you need is £1500 in your bank to arrive with (so the last two months wages before you go usually does that nicely).

So overall you could have £2200 and get there and then work and travel.

How hard is finding work though? What type of places do you have to work in?

Nope, especially as you can earn better money over there while working and then travelling at the same time.

Easy if you are not fussy. Anything from bar/restaurant work, to shops/retail, farm work, fruit picking etc.

It's how I got into travel even though I had never worked in the industry before. It's a great way to try out new jobs. My friend works as a bungee jump operator and gets to do free bungee jumps all day while saving money for the next travels.
