I can't believe she kissed Marc and thanked him for looking after Joel.

What on earth has done apart from say "keep being you." to deserve that? Did he not pretty much abuse Joel before he went into the bunker?

Mark looked a bit puzzled by it like he was trying to figure out exactly how he's been "'looking after her boy"

When Marc returned Joel was straight off the couch to hug and greet him.

Maybe Joel and Nick have some kind of immunity blanket over them.

I think Marc is quite fond of Joel, He'll dish out some playful insults but I do think that Joel might be one of the housemates he actually likes.

I agree, and I disagree that he looked confused. Moreso he didn't expect the gesture. It's true that this may reinforce his protection of Joel but Marc has been looking out for him thus far. On his return it was pretty clear that Joel and Simon were his favourites.
