So he he didn't use the word "recognize" but that certainly sounds to me that had seen her and formed an opinion. ..he knew she was a **** and he loved her. now how can you interpret that he hadn't seen last year?
his comment about her being prettier in person is not a lie..it is conformation he had seen her on tv
