One of the reasons the series became so tedious and I stopped watching about a week before the final.

Just like with Rylan's series the producers decided to drag the same storyline right through the whole series and kick it to death until the final instead of letting other dynamics/stories form.

Instead of letting the other stuff that was occurring come to the forefront they bored us to death with Hopkins and Perez.
