It's certainly strange. I'm just going to blame Channel 5 until an explanation comes along.

Something afoot on the show (ie a walker/ejection) or from the markets?

Perhaps they're all a bit concerned over rumours of there being a scam/fix last week.

I reported it last week after marc went that there was a betting scam. Nobody believed me even though I am a semi professional gambler. (not proud of it but I can afford it and its a hobby) When Paddypower releases a statement saying they had a considerable payout, this does not mean a couple of thousand, it means mega bucks and this week they are mindful of yet another scam.

I think that in the days to come, they will close down the markets as its too easy to scam on the VTE and BB know it but are saying nothing because if there is a scam, BB gets the extra large vote money. Why would they.

You got a source? For the paddypower quote? Or is this more of a "i think it happened so it must be true" typed thing?

There was no scam. Marc had a terrible HL show on Wednesday, he was the biggest character in a multi-way vote to evict. They always go.

I speak regularly to the odds compilers as a VIP customer and it was he that told me so if by a source, do you mean a special insider, then no, just a normal guy who likes to tell when they payout, its good for business.

Marc defo wasn't evicted fairly, that is 100% sure. he was punted on and voted on heafty, so is that fair, well I guess it is as its there to be abused but without this punters bet and votes, he would defo still be there. That's not an opinion, its a pretty fair assessment of the facts in evidence, unless of course you hate marc and wear rose tinted glasses.

Hahah alright. Hahahhahahhahahhahahha. (Also thats not what the term rose tinted glasses means, the exact opposite actually pretty much. Were you a marc fan by chance? Dont answer, i know that you were). The guy got evicted because people disliked hum and your source is about as credible as the psychics they used to bring into bblb.

I can rarely bring myself to use smileys. But it did tickle me. You might aswell have said "marc only got evicted cos of a betting scam, me nan told me".

I mean, you understand that this is how other people will see your post. Youre asking people to believe the wild claims that your buddy said to you. Bit of a waste of a thread really.

Is it safe to presume that the statement that paddypower released was just a convo with your buddy down the road?

If you actually understood what betting was about we could debate this but suffice it to say that an odds compiler is the guy that makes the odds and can win or loose millions for the bookie. He is probably the singular most important person in the multi national consortium known as Paddy power and I doubt he works for a minimum wage.

He isn't my gran nor is he a mate from down the road. Try ringing PP and ask to speak to him, you will need to be offering to lay hundreds of thousands before he will lift the receiver. believe me, these guys are very high up the food chain so when they speak, you can take it as green.

Now please leave it be as I don't want this to escalate into a barny, because you are not criticising from a position of strength.

I spoke to my odds compiler again this morning and he did confirm that last week there were a rash of bets taken on Marc late afternoon of Friday and other bookies reported similar activities but the amounts are unknown but all he would say was considerable amounts were paid out on accounts that are new. now they are limiting bets to existing customers but not with any large weight.

Most high street bookies are limiting bets to £20 or so but the interesting thing this week is the amount of money taken on 2 people. Jack for the win and amazingly Chloe for the eviction. Neither are smacking of a scam, its just the publics regular money but he did tell me that PP had not taken one penny bet on Sam or Jack for the eviction and even though Harry is fav to go, that's not reflective of the amount bet on her, its more to do with forum reports and polls which they do take note of. Danny might be fav to win but again, they are saying hardly any money has been bet on him, the most popular bet apart from Jack is Joel, but no large amounts yet.

Keep your eyes on the markets as Friday seems to be the day the big guns come out but I wont be betting any time soon as its all too scripted and convienient at the moment.
