You make a good point. But Cristian was too invisible to benefit from the brigade. Danny whilst he was also dull, happened to have more airtime and done more, so people had a opinion on him.

Just because a young man is inexplicably popular doesn't mean it has anything - or much - to do with his looks. Danny's popularity grew from a small established fanbase of minor celebrities he knows getting their own fans to support him, and he gained fans through being seen as the 'nice guy' (see the 'I pretended to marry a dying woman' story one day in). When Marc was in the house, he naturally attracted votes from those who didn't like him - it's often one or the other with the public on these things, especially when the show pushes a rivalry between two (/groups of) people down our throats. See also: Helen and Ashleigh, Perez and Hopkins, ad infinitum.
