FINALLY got round to watching Calvary.
It was beautifully shot and simultaneously grim. The story was morbid and depressing... some of the characters were terribly irritating (that gay guy by the jukebox  ) but I don't know... the lighting and colours were oddly beautiful... which isn't something I pick up on often (last film I remember feeling this about was 'Drive')... and for some reason it just gripped me. I'd give it an 8/10.

Maybe we could have a seasonal one like Dezzy said for the month of October. A horror special.
I'd be up for that if others are and if it does OK Christmas is around the corner for another batch. |
