Most of the energy is used up from creating heat and the organs use all of their energy up until they stop working. Once the person dies the rest of the energy is used up by whatever happens next, be it decomposition or burning. What you imagine doesn't count as fact, what I said is fact.

I fully understand about decomposition and metabolic energy. What about electrical energy? What about 'action potential' within that electrical energy? When we are dead, we are dead and the energy we have carried during life, changes (as energy does) and works at decomposing us. It then feeds the plants, the insects, the earth. Everything revolves around a cycle of energy. You say energy is used up? are you therefore saying that energy then dies?
