This is what 'young' people forget - old people are just young people who have aged. They may look 'grey and miserable' a lot of the time (usually because of what shet they've been through whilst growing old) but engage with them, and you'll see the jokers and comedians buried under those wrinkled faces, and you'll also see the unvoiced gratitude that 'someone' is treating them as if they were still alive.

I love the elderly. I always converse with them at bus stops and smile at them when they walk past. I love hearing their stories about how things were like before I was born, and they seem so happy to talk about it like they can go on forever.
