The whole 'shutting down' thing does seem to be a common occurrence. I've lost count of the amount of times someone has told me that I'm too young to understand a topic, or I've been called too idealistic. The worst is when people respond with a single emoji (usually or ) in response to my posts without even properly responding, it's really rude tbh.

If someone calls you 'idealistic', take it as a compliment And if they comment on your age then it's only coz they're jealous of your youth haha!
