Default Animals have no concept of Science

Isn't that weird? They're brought into this world and they haven't a clue what the **** they're doing, they're just eating grass or rolling around in mud. They have no concept of Death because they can't speak words to know what it means. They're just living. No worries. No stresses.

they have survival instincts... which precludes having a concept of death.

Instinct lives in the subconscious mind, though. They have these survival instincts but I doubt they know why, it's just their bodies telling them what to do. Which I guess is Science, but it's not exactly a concept that they are aware of.

I always think stuff like this but different, like it's weird that my dogs literally just think about eating/barking at passing people/going for walks when we have so much to think about like they must have so much clarity.

Actually, there has been some great scientific studies done in the last decade proving that dogs have conscious and cognitive thoughts. The same type of research that has been done to chimps and apes to show their relatedness to us, and the traits we attribute to humans but that exist in other species.

I think that just because we have no way to be aware of what animals do consciously, does not mean they don't have conscious thoughts.

No one KNOWS what cognitive abilities animals have - or any other cerebral capabilities because we cannot communicate with them in any common language.

How does ANYONE know whether your dog is sat there thinking; "Stop munching down that second bag of crisps you fat ****, turn off the TV and take me for a walk"?

A lot of animals certainly seem to me to have a lot more common sense and intelligence than a lot of 'humans' - and they are certainly far less cruel and evil.

Exactly this, and they can communicate with each other to some degree so they understand a little bit more than most people would give them credit for.

Since we're talking about how great animals are, let's take a moment to appreciate the otter...

Holding hands so they don't drift apart
