Maybe she hasn't got a car on finance or an expensive sky subscription? look at the bland joyless git in the article... 'my kids get nowt'! Good for you you 1970s reject.
The tree looks ace the house looks inviting and warm and the kids will be happy... It's all about quantity when they're little, you could wrap up a packet of jelly tots and it would be the best present ever. This is jealousy more than anything, justifies calling her a crap mum and making sexist comments.... blurgh, makes me sick.
