That's very true; he was banging on about Mexicans and others from south of the US border long before he turned his gaze to Muslims... who he knows make a better club to bash people with because there is a risk to their sense of security and safety, as opposed to his economic reasons for not wanting other migrants. Basically, it seems a lot like Mr Chrump just has an overall agenda to close the borders of the US, just because that's how he wants it to be regardless of what else is going on, and ISIS / terrorism is a good platform for him to exploit to gather support.

There are, of course, political groups in every country doing the same thing... talking a lot about Terrorism as a reason for tightening borders and becoming more insular... but you don't have to look back very far to realise that they've been saying the same things with different justifications all along.

This is true. He is also targeting goods being made overseas in places like China. It's all linked to the same basic philosophy. Its the arrogant part of American society that I detest

Something very telling in the video of him with Fox News... When asked if he accepts that the US needs allied Muslim countries to win against ISIS, his immediate gut reaction was "NO I do not accept that" before revising that to say that it "helps" but he will not admit that the US might not win without help. Because... He believes that they would of course win.

The speed ifnhis instinctual response says it all; he believes that the US can be an island and needs no one. American resources, in american factories, making American goods for american people. I think his dream world is basically self sufficiency and permanently closed borders. That's too extreme to get much support so he offers a toned down version but yeah... That dream is what gets him hard.

..it seem like a strange and bazaar thing to say but IS have been like a 'gift' to him in his campaign, in that he's used the fears of people to push for borders to be closed ..and yeah I know that there's nothing new in his tactics in politics but he's not being 'politician' or subtle about it at all, he's always been very openly racist and still is...politics is a lot more than that...but he's gaining support much more now or so we're told...I was just thinking about something you said actually...that he doesn't appear to have great intelligence so where are you going wrong..?..well I guess that's it really, he doesn't have the limits or boundaries/principles/beliefs etc that you have...there are no lows that would be too low for him.../maybe that's it..?...people are being shot/bombed/beheaded/tortured etc/yep, that's handy, I can use that to my advantage to stop these pesky Muslims coming into my country, Mr Trump life philosophy...something not many of us have...
