Six!? I think they were wrong to humiliate her of course but in hindsight maybe they did her a favour? If she's vowed not to eat there again she can have a nice Jacket Potato and some Tuna

EDIT: Just read the story and in fairness she only ordered a burger and fries for herself, the rest was for her family - the employee who said it (if they said it) should be ashamed.

..mind you, what her mum said about giving her 10yr old brother what he wants to eat because he's a fussy eater...eeeek, it's so hard to get parents out of that mind-set, that they're harming their children because they feel and are, loving parents and just don't understand what they're doing...also, talking to the media about it and making it all so much worse for her....

I agree A.J. There are times when it IS better to be a little two-faced and mock or laugh and sneer behind someone's back.

I think this girl knows only too well that she is fat and is probably more than miserable and depressed because of it, so stating the obvious to her face or within her hearing is achieving nothing but being cruel and is tantamount to bullying.

It's often too easy to say things like "Fat twat just stop eating less" but if she has been badly raised and been allowed to 'over eat', then her over eating is a habit - an addiction - no different to an addiction to drugs or gambling, and just as difficult to overcome.

I blame the parents.

I am saying they know that stories like this complete with the classic sad face get loads of attention and they probably had a nice pay out for it.
