I am saying they know that stories like this complete with the classic sad face get loads of attention and they probably had a nice pay out for it.

From the DM article about it:

I don't know the truth, but if the intelligence of some of the staff of our local McD's is anything to go by, I would think it's true, because anyone who consistantly cannot pack up just 4 meals without omitting half the order is dim enough to 'operate mouth without engaging brain'.

I always find McDonalds staff here very pleasant and helpful
