Stephanie isn't a kid she is a full grown adult.
Last time I looked, at the age of 18 you are officially an adult.

At her age I was married with 2 kids, I never acted like her at 22, 13 maybe but not 22

and I agree with OP, she is very needy and needs validation 24/7 and Stephanie is very emotionally immature.

Yes, that's a great point.

She's been given so much at a young age and that can potentially be damaging if she doesn't get the right support, which may have been the case with Stephanie.

There's a difference between a mental age and a physical age.

Not everyone ages and reaches maturity like the example of yourself.
