Forgot how much I loved Hello Dolly. Had it on VHS, you could not click past it if it was on tv and I knew all the songs.

...Barbra seemed to have that a lot with her co-stars, I know that she's a perfectionist, so probably quite difficult to work with but (I think) maybe also the less being used to strong, confident ladies/actresses back in the day because there were quite a few strong-minded actresses who had the same reputation of being difficult to work with and disliked by their male leads in movies they were in together..it was more the age of the 'starlet', wasn't it...

Could be true. Their egos wouldn't allow them to stand for being ''beneath'' a woman, especially not in those times. One excerpt said that Walter had just won an award and hated that Barbra was basically acting like the boss on set.


Btw, I read the tragic story of how the one that plays Barnaby died. He was gay and was stabbed 100 times by someone he brought home, if I remember correctly.

...awww, that's so awful, CeeCee...I've just tried to search for him, John Morgan..?...but I couldn't find anything about him...how sad it is also that if he had been a more famous/well known actor, it would be easy to search these things...

..thanks for that CeeCee....I read your link and then followed another link on that site...a really sad read..I don't know how much you read..?..but his killer called the police to report his crime and when they got there, they found a notebook on torture/sex with the various instruments that he had used in the 100plus stabbings/so premeditated...so obviously they took it as vital evidence ..(they thought it was ok to do that because they'd obviously been called out to a crime scene..)...anyways, if he had been tried for 1st degree murder, he would have got the death penalty but because the judge ruled that no search warrant had been obtained first and the notebook had been taken 'illegally', it couldn't be used as evidence of premeditation and was thrown out of court...his lesser charge meant he only served 4yrs in prison for what he did...a seriously disturbed guy...

..that's the thing though mooo, it happens to so many of us...we come for season and BB or just potter around for a while on the regular forum in this and that/certain things that interest us....and then one day, something happens and we realise that we haven't logged off for 8 days and we need to eat/sleep...it happens to all of us, once we have you and that thing has happened to you...we never let you go...
