Agree - I really hate what they've done with the show in other respects but the houses have been superb and they've made better use of the space than C4 were IMO. I also like they haven't completely revamped every year for the sake of it - after all there are only so many ways you can lay the house out after so many series.

It's quite a way from the house and there are a few buildings in between it, but I'd certainly favour them doing something similar to BB Canada with a fake front of the house in a separate studio - they either use a bit of TV trickery to make it look like the door they've just left the house through is the same one they're walking through into the studio, or just be honest about it and show the evictee leaving (from inside the house) before the break and then have them enter the studio after the break. That's the set up many versions use.

Couldn't visualise what that meant from the plans but now I can - that would be rather cool, although they might just mean a dodgy strip of lighting on top of a metal fence! Actually don't they have striped of LED lights (rather than screens) behind the stands on the current set?


I wouldn't take a huge amount of notice on the plan in the current house - as it is essentially a set they can change the interior without planning permission and in the document submitted it's not included explicitly.

I swear the plans submitted to the council included a letter in which they said they hoped they'd be approved at a meeting in March tho they can deconstruct the old set but surely these plans need to be approved before they can press on? Unless they've given them an unofficial go ahead in advance idk
