you probably don't actually remember that, you just saw a picture of yourself as a child being bathed and so you've adopted it as a memory. no one can remember being that young though.

a 3 year old wouldn't fit in a sink. you were walking by then i'm sure, why would she bathe you in the sink at that age. she wouldn't even be able to get your head under the tap of a sink.

Its ridiculous.
The sort of people who fear things like this are the same sort of people who think the world is full of monsters lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce on innocents.

We were in France a couple of years ago and a friend of ours came over with his two year old son. We all went swimming in a popular lake and he took a video of his little boy paddling naked in the water. When he showed it to his ex partner she hit the roof and accused him of putting their child in danger of sexual predators.

The old fashioned sinks were big and could easily accomodate a 3 year old. As for remembering that young, I remember the Queen's coronation and I was only 3 at the time.

to be fair i think it's better to be more cautious. i think child molestation is more common than you realize.

we had a big Belfast sink back then and it was probably when we had all the powercuts due to strikes back in the day

Maybe. my earliest memory is my Dad using a hose on me and my brother on a hot summer day in one of those small plastic pools. I honestly can't remember my parents ever washing me, especially my private parts. I honestly have no memory of learning how to wash, but i guess my parents taught me early. I just remember being always told that "you must keep it clean, but no one else should ever touch it. if anyone else touches it, then you tell us."

If both dad and mum are at ease with the children bathing with either of them then that's up to them. As soon as the children can wash themselves then there's no need for mum or dad to do it. Being naked round your kids (whilst they are young) helps them not to be ashamed of nakedness when they are older.

Yeah I don't remember much about when I was a kid either and alot of things I do, I'm not sure whether I genuinely remember or if I was just told a story by my mom or someone

Yea i think most of my earliest childhood memories arn't actually memories, they are just based on stories or photos i've seen of myself as a kid. most of my earliest REAL memories are focused more around school. Those ones i definitely know i remember cause no one else in my family would know them.

The only memories I trust of when I was a small kid is if I can remember how a I felt at the time of the memory

I know what you mean. My grandmother (on my dad's side) died when i was 6, but i still remember her just because i remember turning over her foot stool and sitting in it and pretending to be driving a race car and she would laugh and not get mad at me, and i loved hearing her laugh. but i don't remember her face at all, or anything else about her, but i see photographs sometimes of the foot stools and it totally triggers that memory for me, that she got a kick out of me playing with her foot stool.

The issue appears to be him washing her arse and other parts...

I find this completely ridiculous. Why should this be seen as anything sexual? I bath with Skye (as she goes mental if we try to put her in alone) and with James (as tbh he thinks he is a fish and its easier to keep his head out of the water when I'm actually in there ) and not once have I EVER thought anyone could possibly see it as anything more than what it is...a parent washing her kids.

Is this really the stage we are at now where paedo is screamed when a father takes care of his kid? I can't get my head round it at all and this may well be a pointless thread but I had to let it out. Honestly this seems just as stupid as those who think breastfeeding is in someway sexual :S
Absolutely ridiculous.

I can see the argument when it comes to step parents, but their own dad is just PC gone mad.

With all these scandals of older men sexually assaulting kids it's started entering people's heads that all men are paedophiles, especially Fathers are getting accused of it a lot.

I personally find it disgusting that these accusations are allowed tbh, but you know how idiotic the Human Race can be sometimes, uneducated and paranoid.

Funnily I bathed with my daughter but not my son, mind you with him being 2nd it just made sense to put them in together.

If I put my two in together they would be trying to drown each other

Our setup is me and son, partner brings daughter up and swaps them over, he drys/dresses son, then comes and gets daughter drys and dresses her while I dry myself
