All the Republicans are as bad as one another (I mean, they all have similar agendas) but at least the others have a good foundational base in the political field. Its like voting for Alan Sugar because we like the way he's a straight talker, he's someone we can all aspire to and more importantly, we find him entertaining. Whilst he may be a Lord, that doesn't mean he's capable or calm enough to make decisions on every aspect of government.

He keeps telling us how rich he is and how he’s funding his own campaign but is he ? Since August of last year Trump set up a donate site and although the real figures aren't going to come out before his tax returns, its reported to be many, many millions of dollars.

Its impossible to do the maths on what's came out of his own pocket without the total figures of donations received but when you learn that Trump is running his campaign in the building he owns and using a lot of those donor contributions to pay the rent to himself, it becomes apparent that he’s putting the donations in his own pocket so he can claim he’s paying for the campaign himself. My guess would be, he hasn't spent a dime.

He also tells us that some of those donations go to his chosen ‘Veteran groups’ which he claims are none profit charities but when both Politcusus and Forbes did a bit of digging they discovered this-

“The Donald J. Trump Foundation has donated $5.5 million to 298 charities between 2009 and 2013 (the most recent year available), according to the non-profit’s 990 tax forms from those years. Of that, only $57,000 has been donated to seven organizations that directly benefit military veterans or their families, Forbes found. Wounded Warriors was not among the organizations Trump’s foundation gave to in that time period.
Forbes also found that Trump, who we estimate is worth $4.5 billion, has not made personal contributions to his foundation during the same time period. We reached out to his spokespeople for comment, but did not hear back."

So barely 1% of Trump’s foundation’s donations went to organizations that support veterans. Which is strange because he’s really used these Veterans to gain popularity. All charitable donations (not surprisingly) are funnelled through his company and so there is no way of knowing if his own company donate a single dime to these Veterans he claims to be supporting.

The Trump campaign refuses to tell Forbes which veteran groups its working with, though they did let it slip they were supporting the “Wounded Warrior Project” a charitable organization that are known for spending most of their donations on staff luxury hotels and holidays.

I disagree the others have a good base in politics. Rubio is without doubt the most bought politician in this field and possibly the most bought of all time. Its not particularly relevant how many years he has in the Senate when its pretty much common knowledge he does not have his constituents best interests at heart. Trump beats them all with his sound bites that apparently speak to the heart of the American middle classes. The middle classes know Rubio or Cruz dont care about them so along comes Trump to take all their votes.

A great and accurate assessment.
